How BHEL Salary is Structured

BHEL GETs start at Rs. 40,000 basic per month in the Rs. 40,000-1,40,000 scale. IDA is 55.7 percent of basic from July 2026, adding about Rs. 22,300 a month. HRA is 30, 20 or 10 percent of basic depending on city class, or company quarters are provided instead. Cafeteria perks of about 35 percent of basic are paid monthly, and Performance Related Pay is paid once a year. Manufacturing units usually provide company quarters.

Provident fund at 12 percent of basic plus IDA is about Rs. 7,500 a month. Professional tax is around Rs. 200 depending on state. Income tax under the new regime is zero at a metro posting, and lower with company quarters. CPSE executives contribute to provident fund on basic plus DA, not NPS on basic alone.
