About SSC

SSC CHSL (Combined Higher Secondary Level) is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission for recruitment to clerical and assistant posts in central government departments and ministries. It is one of the most popular government exams for Class 12 pass candidates. Posts include LDC/JSA in ministries, Postal Assistant in India Post, Sorting Assistant, and DEO in various departments.

How SSC Salary is Structured

SSC CHSL LDC/JSA basic pay starts at Rs. 19,900 per month (Pay Level 2). PA/SA/DEO starts at Rs. 25,500 per month (Pay Level 4). DA is approximately 50% of basic revised twice a year. HRA is 8% to 24% of basic depending on city classification. Transport allowance of Rs. 1,350 to Rs. 3,600 per month.
