How UPSC Salary is Structured

IAS Junior Scale basic pay starts at Rs. 56,100 per month (Pay Level 10). DA is approximately 50% of basic revised twice a year. Government accommodation is provided at most district and state postings. Transport allowance of Rs. 7,200/month at entry level. Pay rises significantly through career from Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 2,50,000 at Cabinet Secretary level.
